This is the National A MSA event with the 680bhp V8 powered Goulds in the premier class. Admission is £8 but the WMC might well be looking for marshals. On Sunday 14th May it's The Ilkley Classic Trial starting in Otley, West Yorkshire. They have a website - http://www.ilkleymotorclub.org.uk/classic/ Used Trials Tyres - Bill posted a blog earlier about used
trials tyres. The Classic boys find a use for older tyres. Anyone willing to part with shagged out rubber (tyres only) can hand it to Bill at the Two Day to pass on.

I'm talking about Pirelli UK at Carlisle where a lot of the top end tyres for Porsche, Aston Martin, Jaguar, Range Rover, Maserati etc. etc. (Also Peugeot mind you) are manufactured. If I can get enough people interested I will endeavour to arrange a factory visit. I am sure those petrol headed people will find it interesting as although there is little or no connection to SCT the basic principles of tyre manufacture are the same irrespective of the size. Email me and I will compile a list of some sort. I think it may have to be an evening visit but I will try and arrange it for a weekend if I can. If I can get some numbers around a dozen is a nice figure but half that many will suffice. neil@nmchardy.wanadoo.co.uk

marshals (for standing in the pouring rain and cold), Mr and Mrs
Kingsley for the use of their back garden (sorry we wrecked it!) and the
farmer for the use of his field as a carpark. Thanks also to Martin Grimwood and
helpers for setting up an excellent trial for the conditions, also to Dougie and Jackie for all the paperwork stuff!

Binns of the Buccaneer Motor Sports Club NPTCC Members & Friends, It’s that time
again when I’m on the hunt for volunteers for both the Pirelli International
Rally (27/28 April) and Jim Clark International Rally (1/2/3 June). As ever we are looking for marshals, radio operators and
timekeepers.
On the Pirelli , we
are running the “Bewshaugh” stage in Kielder Forest, twice on the
Saturday morning.
On the Jim Clark ,
Buccaneer MSC has been asked to run the “Eccles” stages again on Sunday
3rd June. At the time of writing I know very little more about this stage for
2012 but we are likely to receive other event groups in addition to the
Reivers as the overall event is running to a slightly different format this
year. More information will be circulated once I have it.

Notes

  The
Pirelli International is the third round of the 2012 MSA British Rally
Championship. After the success of our Falstone stage last year, we are on
the move again, this time to the west of Kielder Water. The stage looks
very interesting with both fast and twisty sections. As last year, we
receive the whole field for the first run and then the Internationals
return for SS5. It may be an early start but at least we are the first to
finish, thus allowing either an early departure or a bit of extra
marshalling/spectating on a later stage. All being well our stage is also
likely to be relatively free of spectators as it is well up on the hills
away from the road.

If you are
available on one or both of these events, I would be very pleased to hear from
you. Please let me know which events you are available for along with any
specific preferences of role. I can’t guarantee that you will be given this role
but I will do my best to try to make it happen.
I look forward to
hearing from you,
Regards,
Jon.
